Question number 2 it is.

because the number of people doing number 6 is just too much and this seems more fun. Kinda.

2. Examine the future of the world as represented in a popular science fiction film, game, or novel. Selection should consider a title where media or communication plays a major role in its scenario. Evaluate the likelihood or lessons of this futuristic vision in relations to actual current knowledge and developments.

VR probe (Audiovisual Bidirectional Communication Probe)

It is an electronic device that enables the user to project a direct visual and audio link of those in the virtual world to the real world. It operates with a lens and microphone which are embedded on to a dome-shaped device. This device connects to multiple networks and VR technologies before granting the ability to view and interact in the real world to the person in the virtual reality. (Sword Art Online Wiki (n.d.) This has been used twice in the story for an A.I and a patient who are under terminal care and unable to perform any physical interactions in the real world due to AIDS.

There are also attempts of hospitals using virtual realities for cancer patients where they can observe their physical parameters on virtual space and also to enhance the communication and counselling efforts performed by doctors and patients. (Oyama, n.d.) There are many more examples in the book but it's just too long and I haven't really get the whole gist of it yet. Further reading here.
